Finding care

Questions that come up while looking for care

Keep each question small. The medicine, the person caring for you, and the way you get care each need an answer.

Are peptides real medicines?

FDA is the national agency for medicine reviews. Read “FDA” as “Food and Drug Administration.”

Yes, some peptides had products approved by FDA at the September 26, 2026 check: Ozempic and Wegovy contain semaglutide, while Mounjaro and Zepbound contain tirzepatide. Ozempic and Mounjaro treat type 2 diabetes; Wegovy and Zepbound help with weight management. These are examples of their approved uses.

Can an online visit be a starting point?

Telehealth is care across locations, including live conversation or information reviewed later.

Ask whether your problem can be assessed online and what would need a test or an examination in person.

Will I need tests?

An assessment may call for tests or referral to a visit in person. Arranging that care is advised by the Federation of State Medical Boards, whose members are state licensing boards.

These are recommendations for state medical boards; they are not a law that applies nationwide, as checked September 17, 2026.

Where do I look next?

Compare licensed telehealth care with an in-person clinic. Start by asking how each would assess the problem you want help with.

Ask for the name of the person deciding on your care and the pharmacy supplying the medicine. Then check their license records.
